Naming and Messaging Architecture
Project: March of Dimes — Low Dose, Big Benefits Campaign
Agency: SJI Associates
Role: Senior Copywriter
“Low Dose, Big Benefits” was a public health awareness campaign centered on preventing preeclampsia by prescribing low-dose aspirin to pregnant people. As the Senior Copywriter, I was responsible for developing a name, brand manifesto, and messaging architecture for the three specific audiences March of Dimes was hoping to reach: parents-to-be, medical professionals, and community members.
Stories & Manifestos:
I’ve written brand stories and manifestos for companies across entertainment, news, finance, tech, the non-profit sector, and more. Below are a few examples of my work:
-
They needed: A brand story for their data-driven publishing & media company that clearly communicated its brand promise to both consumer and trade audiences
I wrote:
At Callisto Media, your customers are our North Star.
Everything we do is guided by our deep understanding of what readers want and need. We create the books they’re searching for. Books that inspire them, inform them, and improve their lives. Books they’re eager to buy.
Our unique approach is powered by consumer data, expert authors, and a drive to tackle the subjects that really matter to people. We’re committed to publishing books that are purposeful, accessible, and have an audience already waiting to read them.
We turn the topics people want to read about into the books they want to buy. It’s an approach that’s made us the fastest-growing publisher of books—and a valuable partner to retailers of all types.

They needed: A manifesto for the BBC Global Distribution wing that clarified its mission and gave employees a sense of purpose and identity within BBC Studios
I wrote:
At the BBC, connection is in our DNA.
For 100 years, we haven’t just kept up
With an ever-evolving industry,
We’ve led the way.
Setting standards. Pushing boundaries. Defying expectations.
Across genres, generations, continents, & cultures.
We tell the stories that need to be heard,
Delivering the best entertainment
and most trusted news.
As the world’s most respected public broadcaster
We amplify the voices of bold new creators,
Power our creativity with sustainability,
And keep the world connected
Through stories that inform and inspire, educate and entertain.
Whoever you are,
Wherever you live,
Whatever moves you,
We never fail to deliver.
BBC Studios Global Distribution:
Stories that connect our world.

They needed: A manifesto for March of Dimes’ biggest fundraiser that clarified its mission and energized participants, donors, and sponsors
I wrote:
When it comes to giving families the healthy starts they deserve, we all have the power to help.
That’s why March for Babies is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, the March is an annual tradition and year-round community that helps families from the very start—and every step of the way.
Together, we can provide every family the information and resources they need to ensure that moms and babies have the best possible health outcomes.
Together, we can fund research that will help children today—and tomorrow.
Together, we can push for better policies and protections to keep moms, babies, and moms-to-be safe and healthy.
Together, we can each do our part, knowing that every donation, effort, and step adds up.
Whether you’re just getting involved or have been on the ground for years, March for Babies will connect you with a community of families, friends, and coworkers united to improve the health outcomes of moms and babies all across the country. Because every step we take together leads to a healthier future.
March for Babies.
Every Step Counts.

visual identity
Event Branding & Production
As a drag producer, host, and performer in NYC, I’ve created several original, recurring shows—including Theater Camp, Sad Girl Happy Hour, and Chappy Hour.
Most recently, I’ve joined the team at It’s Mutual, a bi-monthly drag show fundraiser at C’mon Everybody in Brooklyn, with all proceeds going to gender-affirming care.
As a drag producer, I create memorable names and visual identities for every show that carry through all aspects of marketing, design, messaging, and production.
video projects
I’ve concepted and written scripts for many video projects, including commercials, brand spots, explainer videos, vlogs, sizzle reels, web shorts, and webseries.
I helped to develop the visual concept and wrote the script copy for this ad introducing the Smithsonian Channel Plus app, which was produced by the agency LoyalKaspar.
I came up with the corgi-centric concept and wrote the line “make way for royalty” for this ad, which was also produced by LoyalKaspar for the CNN original series The Windsors.
Additional Video Scripts:
-
They needed: Voiceover script for an internal video about lgbtq+ inclusion and advocacy at BBC studios for pride month
I wrote:
At BBC Studios,
It’s our mission to share vital perspectives.
To shine a light on the world’s blindspots…
Including our own.
For Pride month,
We honor those who paved the way
By committing to do more for their cause
Sparking understanding through storytelling
That illuminates our shared humanity
Like only we can.
Highlighting diverse creators
Uplifting our LGBTQ employees,
Offering support and resources that empower you to shine.
When it comes to representation,
We’re proud of the strides we’ve made.
But we’re only just getting started…

They needed: Voiceover script for a whimsical illustrated video ad reintroducing Philo TV—and its unique personality
I wrote:
A long time ago, a 14 year old boy invented television. Wild, right?
That kid had a vision. And it was one hundred percent magic.
A portal that transports us into a universe of infinite possibilities.
An endless wave of awesome adventures.
Almost 100 years later, that vision has faded. TV has gone from a sea of stories to an avalanche of apps.
But Philo wants to bring back all the things we love about TV.
By always putting the audience first.
By making it easy, accessible, and fun.
Running on modern ingenuity. Without all those modern hassles.
And by bringing back the magic of that 14 year old’s crazy dream.
Because Philo believes there’s a better way to TV.

They needed: Copy for a sizzle video introducing the world to cleo TV, a new channel made by and for black women.

High style. Your style. A lifestyle.
We’re realer than reality.
CleoTV is your place to:
Cultivate and connect
Explore and express
Relax and replenish
It’s your community. It’s your network.
It’s your home. It’s your life.
It’s entertaining. Empowering. Educating.
Boss up. Shine on. Speak out.
CleoTV
Work. Play. Slay.

I’ve written taglines for several TV series, films, and brands. The examples below are taglines I wrote for key art projects as the Senior Copywriter at SJI Associates:
content writing
Project: Website Rebuild
Client: One Foot Productions
Role: Content & Copywriter
I collaborated with the live event production company One Foot to build out their website with content and copy reflecting their unique personality and offerings.
To better position One Foot in the live event production landscape, I wrote landing page copy that clarified their services, expertise, and key differentiators, tongue-in-cheek team member spotlights that humanized their company, and articles detailing their past productions to capture their wide-ranging capabilities.
Below are a few of the articles I wrote for One Foot Productions:
