My scripted writing work spans theatre, film, new media, live events, audio fiction, and more. I’ve written several full-length plays and feature screenplays, along with episodic series for new media and audio fiction. Below are just a few examples of my recent scripted projects. For more information about what other scripted projects I’ve got in the works, you can contact my manager Jack Greenbaum of The Arlook Group or email me at email@example.com.
Music for Changing Times
I wrote the script for Music for Changing Times, a live multi-media retrospective of protest music in America. Music for Changing Times was developed as a benefit concert for the nonprofit Music to Life, and incorporated archival video, song, poetry, visual art, and storytelling. The show was headlined by Noel Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary, and presented by the Rubicon Theatre Company.
Where to Begin
I was commissioned to write the play Where to Begin by the nonprofit theater company The Fellowship of the Ravens. Where to Begin is a full-length piece for young actors that explores the subjects of adolescent mental health, community, and belonging through the lens of fairy tale and the classic hero’s journey. Where to Begin was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Columbia University’s Schapiro Theater.
Lady Parts: The Webseries
Lady Parts is an original comedic series about sexism in entertainment as experienced by young female actors, comprised of 10 digital shorts. I wrote, directed, and starred in this crowdfunded series, which was an official selection of Middle Coast Film Festival, the Adirondack Film Festival, ITVFest, Stareable, and Pitch Her Productions’ Riveter Series and received positive reviews from BUST Magazine, Bitch Media, and the Daily Dot.
